CHURCH HELD VACCINATION CLINICS

The majority of these are "walk-in clinics" in which a planned event is advertised via church announcements, posted notices in the community, radio announcements, road side banners, etc. These clinics are usually held for children who need to meet vaccination requirements prior to the beginning of school, families who need immunizations prior to departing on their vacations, and the general population who desire an annual influenza vaccination during the flu season. Other vaccinations commonly given during these clinics are hepatitis A and B, tetanus boosters, pneumonia, and immunizations to protect individuals against local outbreaks such as meningitis.

These clinics are held on a first come, first serve basis. All paperwork is filled out at the clinic and patient screening is done at that time. Fees may be paid by cash or check. Only a small room with several chairs and a table or desk is needed to conduct the clinic. Restrooms are not needed for the clinic, but they are desirable.

Most patients enjoy the convenience of these clinics because they offer easily accessible medical care, are very low cost, don't require additional doctor's fees, and the parent and/or the patient doesn't have to miss work and/or school. Churches can benefit from these vaccination clinics by boosting membership to their church, helping to save lives in their community, and by reducing the spread of potentially fatal diseases among their congregation. Please contact us today and make a difference in the lives of the people in your community.
